This Privacy Policy explains how Prologue AI Inc. ("Prologue AI", "we", "us", "our") collects, uses, discloses and safeguards your personal information when you access or use prologue.ai and the related widgets, APIs and applications (collectively, the "Service"). It forms part of our Terms of Use.

Account details – email address, first & last name, password hash.
Billing info – Stripe‑tokenised payment details (we never store raw card numbers).
Prompts & uploads – text, images, files you submit to generate output.
Feedback & correspondence – messages, survey responses, support tickets.

3.2 Information We Collect Automatically

Usage Data – IP address, browser type & version, pages visited, time spent, referral URLs.
Device Data – operating system, unique device identifiers, crash logs.
Cookies & Similar Tech – session cookies, preference cookies, security cookies, analytics cookies, advertising pixels.
Approximate location – country/region inferred from your IP address.

5. How We Share Information

We disclose Personal Data only:

Service Providers – e.g., Stripe (payments), Google Analytics & Mixpanel (analytics), cloud‑hosting vendors, AI infrastructure providers such as ElevenLabs. Each is bound by contract to protect your data.
Advertising partners – to facilitate interest‑based ads (see Section 11) – only if you have not opted‑out.
Legal & compliance – where required by law or valid court order.
Business transfers – in connection with a merger, acquisition or asset sale (we will provide notice & choices).
With your consent – such as when you publish output publicly or integrate with a third‑party API.

We do not sell your Personal Data for money.

6. International Transfers

Your data may be stored on servers in Canada, the United States or other jurisdictions. Where required, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or comparable safeguards for cross‑border transfers.

7. Retention

We keep Personal Data only as long as necessary for the purposes outlined in this Policy, or as required by law (e.g., tax, accounting). Back‑ups are deleted or anonymised after 90 days. We may retain anonymised, aggregated data indefinitely.

8. Security

We employ encryption in transit (TLS 1.2+), encryption at rest, role‑based access controls, regular penetration testing and secure coding practices. No system is 100% secure; in the event of a breach affecting your data we will notify you as required by Loi 25 and other applicable laws.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

Access the Personal Data we hold about you;
Correct or update inaccurate data;
Delete your data (subject to legal exceptions);
Restrict or object to certain processing;
Port your data to another provider;
Lodge a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information (Québec) or your local authority.

11. AI & Machine Learning

We may create aggregated, de‑identified and/or anonymised datasets from your prompts, outputs and Usage Data to:

improve the quality and safety of our models;

train internal AI systems.

We never include personal identifiers in training data. You can opt‑out of this processing at any time in your Account settings or by contacting us.

12. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for children under 16 (or the age defined by local law). We do not knowingly collect Personal Data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with data, contact privacy@prologue.ai and we will delete it.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy periodically. We will post the revised version with a new "Effective Date" and notify registered users by email or in‑app notice at least 30 days before material changes take effect.
