The workspace

Your workspace has 6 zones: On the left, the Chat — where you can brainstorm with prologue intent, ask questions, or create assets by selecting models at the bottom of the prompt box. This will automatically open the second panel, the model Form Panel on the right, to set generation parameters. Next to it is your elements panel. Create characters, locations, props or any other element and reuse these elements as inputs in new video or image models directly within the model Form Panel. In the center, the Canvas — an infinite workspace where your shots, scenes, and elements live. Under the canvas you can find the scene strip where you can upload a script, organise your shots by takes, remove or add shots or scenes. The last zone is a history film strip where you can see all the content generated in your project.

Starting with a script

Filmmaking in Prologue starts with a script. You can write one directly in the Script tab, or upload a PDF or text file.

Element detection

When the Script is final, you can use this tool to extract elements — that's characters, locations, and props,

Generating story elements

then create the elements with text to image models or upload your elements — so you can keep them visually consistent across every shot.

Generating storyboard

The next step is to build a storyboard. Use this tool to automatically create image prompts from script, edit them and you are ready to build your storyboard.

Each scene is made up of shots. Click a shot card on the canvas, or use the Form Panel to generate an image or video. In the chat prompt panel, you can reference your script elements — like a character or location — right inside the prompt to maintain visual continuity. Every time you generate, Prologue creates a new take. You can compare takes and pick the one that works best by promoting it to shot 1. Each generated image, text or prompt can fit into the five stages of creation that are clearly indicated at the top of the center canvas. 1 Script→ 2 Elements → 3 Storyboard → 4 Frames → 5 Video

Video breakdown

When the storyboard is pixel perfect, the last step is to create the Video breakdown. Use this tool to generate the Video prompts using elements and storyboard frames. The tol will create all the prompts automatically adding camera angles, framing, movement, lens, key objects, characters, locations, Temporal Multi-Prompt Sequence, Performance, Dialogue Audio and SFX directions, ready to copy paste in the video model of your choice.

Refining and iterating

Last step: EDITING AND REFINING each video shot. Hover any shot to open Quick Actions. You can edit video with ingredients, create a similar shot matching your reference clip, extend the end of the video sequence, upscale, create a mask, reframe, add foley, create audio from video, lipsynch or add subtitles. All your edits stack as new takes — nothing gets lost.

Visualise your timeline
