Inside Our Approach to Building Prologue Intent
We built Prologue Intent to help creators turn a single idea into finished work without losing control along the way. It is grounded in one idea: build around the work people are actually trying to do.
What was the inspiration?
Prologue's mission has always been to make professional-grade storytelling accessible — not only to people with studio budgets or formal training. Intent was born from asking what that looks like in an agentic, multi-shot medium.
You might have a clear idea but not the technical language to express it. Intent is designed as a partner you can talk through an idea with — starting in video, and expanding into the broader production stack inside Prologue Studio.
What problem are we solving?
Generating media and knowing what makes a good film are two different skills. A large part of building Intent was encoding creative judgment on top of what underlying models can already do — which models handle motion well, which hold photorealism, which are fast but less precise.
No single model is best at everything. Intent routes work across models and combines them into strategies that match the goal: a short film, an ad variant, a storyboard sequence, or a campaign cut.
Media-first, not chat-first
Many tools in this space put conversation at the center. Intent keeps the artifact you are creating at the center. The interface adapts as you work — surfacing images, assembled video, timeline edits — while chat stays in service of the output.
If you ask for twenty-five images in different styles, you do not get a wall of text. You get a visual grid you can react to, discard from, and steer. That visual loop is how most creators actually refine work.
Multimodal from day one
Intent reads images, audio, video, and text together. It extracts tone, pacing, composition, and style cues from reference media and translates them into model-ready direction — so you speak in creative terms while the system handles syntax.
How we measure quality
We are running a blind independent pilot before applying to Physion Arc 1.0. The study uses 30 open T2F-Bench screenplays, 15 metrics across narrative coherence, cinematic language, and production quality, and outside reviewers who score without knowing which agent made which clip.
This is a Prologue-commissioned dry run — not an official Physion result. We will publish scores only when reviewer data is complete.

What is next
Intent should feel less like a tool you brief from scratch every time and more like a teammate that already knows your project — brand context, prior sessions, and the assets you upload. We are investing in repeatability, batch creation, and deeper studio integration so quality holds up project after project.
